Acting for a commercial property developer and its property development team in its first JV on the sale of its block of purpose-built student accommodation in Bristol. The building comprises 225 rooms and two commercial units. The transaction was complicated by the need to put in place latent defects insurance to bridge a gap in the construction documents created by the termination of the building contract.

Advising a national housebuilder and its 20+ operating companies on general employment and HR matters, including ad-hoc HR queries, Covid-19 related advice, project support, the defence of numerous complex tribunal claims, annualised hours contracts for employees in the client’s modular business, the drafting and implementation of new apprenticeship contracts and the strategic management of potential disputes and employee exits.

Coastline Housing

Advising a registered provider on the purchase of land for property development projects for 77 dwellings by way of a sub-sale, including assignment of the benefit of collateral warranties from the consultants acting for the top seller in connection with the planning permission application.
