Rachel is an Associate at the firm, having completed her training contract at the firm where she honed her skills to become an expert lawyer. She has a special interest in data protection and privacy matters both inside and outside the tech sphere and is passionate about giving clients the tools and support they need to succeed in a fast-moving market.
A member of the Society for Computers and Law, Rachel has experience advising clients across the retail & consumer and energy & infrastructure sectors on the data protection-related aspects of implementing and licensing technology solutions. She also regularly assists with reviewing and negotiating a variety of contracts from a data protection perspective.
Rachel supports clients with understanding their obligations under the UK GDPR, with data protection legislation compliance audits and with recommendations on implementing internal and external data protection compliance frameworks.
Rachel also collaborates with her colleagues in Foot Anstey’s Private Equity team to provide due diligence reporting from a data protection perspective on corporate transactions.
