Isabelle is a Managing Associate in the Affordable Housing team. She has extensive experience advising registered providers and local authorities on the acquisition and disposal of land for development, from the purchase of land through to site set up and onwards sales. She regularly advises on golden brick and turnkey section 106 schemes, complex land-led schemes, CLT schemes and mixed tenure developments in the context of affordable and private housing development schemes across the country.
Isabelle is known for her commercial and holistic approach when negotiating development matters and for proactively identifying solutions for clients to unlock tricky development sites.
Outside of work, Isabelle enjoys performing with an orchestra in Bristol and spending time with her family.
Work highlights
- Acting for a registered provider on the acquisition of over 100 affordable housing units on a former MoD site owned by Homes England by way of a complex golden brick development agreement.
- Leading on the acquisition of over 200 affordable housing units for a registered provider for £37m across four development sites, which involved negotiating a complex development agreement conditional on planning and step-in rights.
- Acted for a registered provider acquiring a land-led site from a local authority to deliver a 100% affordable scheme for 150 units by way of a complex sub-sale arrangement.
- Acted for a registered provider on the acquisition of s106 and additionality units from a large national housebuilder on a conditional on planning basis under tight timescales.
- Acting for a registered provider on various CLT schemes.
- Acting for a local authority on acquisitions of strategic development sites into the Housing Revenue Account.
