Foot Anstey opens new office in Southampton and expands residential developer offering

To meet the growing demand of Foot Anstey's residential developer clients and targets, the top 100 law firm has recently recruited a team of four lawyers to join the firm's Real Estate group. They will be based in a new office on the South Coast, just outside Southampton, which officially opened on 12 September 2016. 

Attracted by the firm's growing reputation Marina Wickens (Legal Director), Daniel Kidson and Lara Borrett-Lynch (Senior Associates) and Joanna Upton (Associate) join the firm from Blake Morgan, following the arrival of their former colleague and Partner Martin Hirst, who joined Foot Anstey earlier in the year.

The team will provide additional resource to the firm's growing Real Estate group, and will enable Foot Anstey to meet the demands of its growing client base. Foot Anstey already works for a variety of the UK's best known residential developers, including housebuilders such as Berkeley Homes and social housing clients, such as Devon and Cornwall Housing and Yarlington.

Foot Anstey's Managing Partner, John Westwell, recently highlighted by trade publication The Lawyer as one of their "Hot 100" legal professionals in 2016, said:

The Southampton office follows office openings in Bristol in 2011 and more recently London in 2014.  The Bristol office now numbers nearly 120 people and continues to grow.

Foot Anstey has just announced a 12% growth in turnover to £36m for the financial year 2015/16 showing strong growth as a result of its investment strategy and client centric focus.
