Foot Anstey has appointed Ian Stubbs as Partner in the firm's construction team. Ian brings over 30 years' experience in the property and construction sector, having begun his career as a quantity surveyor and a contracts manager, before re-qualifying as a lawyer and specialising in transactional legal aspects of construction and engineering projects. Ian joins the firm from the London HQ of recognised construction sector specialists Pinsent Masons, where he was a partner heading up a team working on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects.
Ian's vast experience includes working on many major national and international projects across industry sectors including energy, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing and technology, waste management, leisure, education and real estate. His specialism is in providing strategic transactional advice on contracting structures, finance and procurement methodology, contract drafting and negotiations and project delivery. Ian also has a strong, industry-based operational understanding of contracting and delivery issues, particularly in relation to the funding, procurement, implementation and commissioning of complex construction and engineering projects.
Ian is a fantastic addition to Foot Anstey's team, having such a wealth of experience both gained from working within and for different businesses across our core sectors. He will be a vital part of our leadership and growth plans. We look forward to welcoming Ian to the team and introducing him to our valued clients."
