Foot Anstey advises Magnaghi Aeronautica Group on its latest acquisition

National law firm, Foot Anstey LLP has advised Magnaghi Aeronautica Group on its acquisition of Gloucestershire-based Five Valleys Aerospace Ltd, a specialist in manufacturing components and supplier of surface treatments for the aerospace industry.

Magnaghi Aeronautica, which is headquartered in Naples, Italy, has a strong presence in Brazil and the United States thanks to its well-established offices and the acquisition of Five Valleys Aerospace Ltd strengthens its stake in the European market, as well as expanding its global presence.

The Foot Anstey team that worked on the deal included Adam McKenna (Partner), Duncan Sykes (Partner), Shafi Choudhury (Solicitor) and Georgina Moss (Legal Assistant).

The team worked collaboratively with Magnaghi Aeronautica to advise on and analyse if the acquisition would be subject to the National Security and Investment Act 2021 (NSI Act). Introduced in 2021, the NSI Act allows the UK government to scrutinise and intervene in a broad range of transactions on the grounds of national security.
