Foot Anstey advises FIGR Ventures on first investment in AI-powered sustainable fashion start-up TRUSS

National law firm Foot Anstey has advised FIGR Ventures on its first significant investment into TRUSS - an AI-powered sustainable fashion start-up.

The Foot Anstey team comprised of Partner Adam McKenna and Senior Associate Bethany Donnelly.

FIGR Ventures is a new investment fund committed to investing in early-stage, mission-driven consumer businesses. The investment marks the beginning of FIGR's ambitious plans to build a diverse investment portfolio of socially and environmentally responsible businesses.

TRUSS uses AI to provide detailed product information to streamline fashion retail. The technology helps automate the sale of second-hand clothes, providing sellers with suggested pricing, product recommendations, and an enhanced customer experience.

Fiona Humphries, Managing Director of FIGR Ventures, said: "It's been a pleasure working with Adam and Beth on this transaction. Their guidance and expertise has been invaluable in helping us complete our first investment. We're excited about our partnership with TRUSS, a company that aligns perfectly with our mission. This investment is a significant step in our growth strategy, and we look forward to seeing TRUSS continue to supercharge sustainable fashion with its AI-powered solutions."

Adam McKenna, Private Equity Partner at Foot Anstey, said: "We're thrilled to have supported FIGR on its first significant investment. Working with Fiona and Ellie has been a fantastic experience, and we're excited to see the impact that TRUSS will make in the fashion industry. We look forward to continuing our partnership with FIGR as the fund expands its portfolio of mission-driven investments."
