Eastlight Homes appoints Foot Anstey to its legal panel

Foot Anstey LLP's Developer sector team has been appointed to the legal panel of Eastlight Homes. This represents the fourth housing association panel that Foot Anstey has been appointed to in the last 12 months.

Foot Anstey has been appointed to two lots, Lot 1 Property and Lot 2 Development. As part of the legal panel, the Foot Anstey team will be on hand to support Eastlight Homes and Procurement Alliance for Essex (PAE) members on a range of property and development related matters.

Braintree-headquartered Eastlight Homes works with local communities to create affordable homes and neighbourhoods. It is a resident-led housing association for the East of England and currently looks after 12,500 social homes in the East of England with plans to build thousands more in the coming years. The PAE is a collaboration of Essex based public sector organisations with 21 members.

The Foot Anstey team includes Lara Borrett-Lynch (Legal Director and Head of Affordable Housing) as Client Relationship Lead, Patrick Wetherall (Partner), Marina Wickens (Legal Director) and Rachel Langley (Managing Associate) as Deputy Client Relationship Lead as well as general support from the firm's development, construction and general property teams.

When asked about the appointment to Eastlight Homes, Lara Borrett-Lynch said: "Eastlight Homes has led the way in terms of building safe neighbourhoods with its resident-led approach. This appointment is recognition of our deep understanding, expertise and hard work in the sector. We are excited to begin supporting Eastlight on two of its lots to help it enhance its offering to residents."

Foot Anstey announced in November that it had been appointed to The Hyde Group's legal panel, in addition to news that it was supporting the Housing Associations' Legal Alliance (HALA) on two of its lots, Lot 3 Development and Lot 4 Property, and its appointment by Advantage South West  to its 'Development New Build' and 'General Property' legal panels.
