Career & Experience

Joe has expertise in a wide range of commercial, technology, IP and data privacy and security related matters.

He regularly advises clients on the negotiation and drafting of SaaS, software development and licence agreements, as well as online terms, including for e-commerce and data privacy. Joe has experience advising on a wealth of non-contentious IP matters, including in relation to franchising and franchise development, and the protection, management and exploitation of his clients’ IP. In addition, Joe has advised on a range of internal and external privacy matters, including data breaches and complex subject access requests, as well as providing practical guidance for national organisations in respect of their marketing activities.

Joe’s experience ranges from working with start-ups, to advising multi-national organisations, and everything in between. When advising clients, Joe is able to draw on all aspects of his expertise to identify any areas of concern and ensure the client is clear on the advice being given. Having worked in a number of different industries, prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Joe is often able to approach complex legal situations with a broader commercial view, to further assist his clients.
